Individual consultations: The session rate for a 50 – 60 minute individual psychological consultation is $175.00.

Consultations under an EAP program through an Employer Organisation: Please contact us for information regarding fees for EAP services.
Most individual clients will incur out of pocket expenses of $85.35 for a 50-60 minute consultation (if you are attending under a valid GP Mental Health Care Plan referral from your GP), however this will depend on how you have been referred to see the Psychologist.
Medicare Australia and Private Health Insurance companies provide rebates for psychological consultations. Please refer to Health Insurance Information for detailed information on Medicare Australia and Private Health Insurance rebates.
If your fees are being paid by another person, organisation (such as under an Employee Assistance Program or service) or government scheme, it is the Client’s responsibility to confirm this arrangement. If the organisation does not pay, session payment is the Client’s responsibility.
We charge significantly less than the standard fee recommended by the Australian Psychological Society (APS) for the year ending 30 June 2023 which is $280.00.
Individual consultations usually last 50 to 60 minutes. We suggest you allow yourself enough time prior to your consultation so you don’t feel rushed and we will certainly try not to keep you waiting. Our Psychologists are offering longer sessions up to two hours for the purposes of relationship counselling only. Sunshine Coast Psychology Services have Credit Card, EFTPOS, Mediclear and Healthpoint facilities. Clients are able to claim a Medicare or private health rebate on the day of appointment. Clients are therefore able to pay by cash, EFTPOS, or credit card. Sorry, we are not able to enter into credit arrangements and payments are due on the day of your session.
